On September 16th the United Methodist Church on Center Street in Canastota held an Open House and Fun Fair. It was a great success with about 50 new friends joining a number of the congregation in various parts of the festivities.
The kids enjoyed a number of games that were set up under a tent. They also got to meet some animals at the petting zoo provided by Mike and Jeanne Dunn.. The Community Band performed, as did the choir of the United Methodist Church. Food was provided at no charge. Silly Dwilly performed a juggling and magic show.
There were displays of the many missions the church supports. We were pleased to have our Mohawk District Superintendent, The Reverend Dr. Sung Ho Lee, his wife, and father-in-law join us for part of the day.
We are hoping to make this an annual event. Please join us for worship Sundays at 9am.
