Conference-wide PowerPoint Workshops

Presentation on Being a member of the SPPRC

The Fellowship of Associate Members and Local Pastors has scheduled PowerPoint Workshops with Jim Buyea as our technician and teacher. The workshops are set up for Saturdays and will feature beginner and advanced classes. Each location will hold the Beginners session from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the Advanced session from 2 - 5 p.m. Each session will cost $5 per person. If you stay for both sessions, you are advised to bring your own lunch. Drinks will be provided.

Participants will need to bring their laptops (if available) with PowerPoint loaded (if available). Prof. Buyea will be able to supply one or two machines if needed and will have a copy of PowerPoint to be used for the session only for those who may need it. These workshops are open to all with pre-registration. Following are the dates and locations:

Finger Lakes at Penn Yan ~ August 23 - Note, this is a date change
Mohawk/Crossroads at Utica School of Commerce ~ August 9
Northern Flow at Lowville UMC ~ June 21
Central Lakes at Auburn 1st ~ June 14th - Note, this location has just been added

Unit 1 - Introduction into Microsoft PowerPoint for Churches
Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful tool to create professional looking presentations and slide shows. PowerPoint allows you to construct presentations from scratch or by using the easy to use wizard. This training will help you get started with Microsoft PowerPoint and may solve some of your problems. The hands on experience will help you use PowerPoint in a variety of ways even if you do not have the technology in place at this time.

Unit 2 - Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint for Churches

Using transitions, Synchronizing sound and slides, Custom Animations, Slide timing, Layers, Hyperlinks, Call another presentation, Slide content, Making a masterful presentation, Text over animations.

Please contact your District Representative ASAP to make your reservation and let them know your needs (laptop or PowerPoint program). You must reserve space and do it soon, as the classes are limited to the first 20 participants.
